Curious about aviation, emergency response, or giving back to your community?
Join us for the upcoming Civil Air Patrol Magic City Composite Squadron Open House on September 9, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., at Avflight, 2400 N. Broadway in Minot. Whether you're a student, a parent, or just someone who wants to get involved, this is your chance to see what Civil Air Patrol is all about.
We’ll walk you through the wide range of opportunities available to cadets—everything from search and rescue, aerospace education, and leadership development to fitness and character growth. Cadets move through a series of achievements and challenges that help them grow and take on more responsibility as they progress through Civil Air Patrol. It’s a program built to help teens rise to the occasion.
Our open house is a relaxed, hands-on event. You’ll get to meet cadets and adult members, explore some of the gear we use in the field, and learn how we serve our communities—both locally and nationally. We’ll also talk about how homeschooled students can earn academic credit through CAP, and how this program has helped launch future careers in aviation, information security, and public service.
Adults can serve in a variety of volunteer roles—mentoring youth, supporting missions, or building technical skills of their own.
